TITANIUM
Titanium eyewear was a distant vision until the 1980s, when Japan made significant strides in transforming titanium into exceptionally strong and lightweight frames.
This material is not only hypoallergenic but also shares a similar weight with aluminum while being twice as strong, and surpasses steel in strength while weighing about half as much.
This makes titanium an optimal choice for premium eyewear. However, the highest quality titanium is still exclusively sourced from Japan.
ACETATE
Akoni's Japanese acetate (Zyl), crafted from renewable wood and cotton, is unrivaled in the world of luxury eyewear. Celebrated for its superior density, strength, beauty, and luster, this acetate also exhibits an extraordinary ability to retain its shape and resist shrinkage. While most acetate undergoes a three-month production process, Akoni is committed to achieving unparalleled quality and longevity, investing twice the time.
CERAMIC NOSEPADS
Akoni’s optical quality is exemplified by their high-contrast CR-39 sun lenses, which significantly boost visual acuity. These lenses utilize advanced color separation and management techniques to enhance accuracy, clarity, and color vibrancy. Additionally, Akoni’s dual anti-reflective polarized sun lenses take visual performance a step further. By incorporating a sharpening filter, these lenses effectively eliminate reflective glare, offering superior clarity and comfort compared to traditional sunglasses.
SUN LENSES
Nose pads are often overlooked, but Akoni has elevated this essential detail with their sleek, hypoallergenic ceramic pads. Designed with horizontal lines and a deep groove for a secure, non-slip fit, these lightweight pads ensure all-day comfort in Akoni frames.
